Ottomate Systems is an independent engineering studio building web and mobile products. ANLIK DEPREM is our public-safety project — a service that gathers real-time earthquake data from multiple seismological agencies worldwide and presents it in a way that's actually useful in the first minutes after a quake.
The idea started after the February 2023 Kahramanmaraş earthquakes. We watched people scramble between a dozen different sources in the first hours — official feeds, social media, messaging apps — just to understand what happened and how serious it was. ANLIK DEPREM exists to put all of that in one place: accurate data, a clear danger scale, and your distance from the epicenter — without panic or noise.
We looked at the best practices of USGS, EMSC, AFAD and Kandilli Rasathanesi, and tried to combine their accuracy with the ease of use official portals often lack. We paid special attention to Turkey: AFAD and Kandilli's denser station network gives a more accurate epicenter, depth, and nearest-town reading than global sources alone.
We're currently building a mobile app with push notifications for quakes near you, and an SOS feature — a one-tap distress signal that alerts people within 20km of your location that you need help, along with your GPS position. Also planned: more data sources, regional history and statistics, and offline instructions for when connectivity drops after a quake.
